Current apartment design has evolved over time to satisfy the current needs and desires of apartment dwellers.  Changes in the new design approach include taller ceilings, greater amounts of glazing, and more terrace space. The Woodman project, developed by Sapphire Development, is as 15-unit apartment that utilizes the density bonus provisions of the zoning code to increase the number of units and the building height.  The additional height is allowed by the city, to make additional volume available for the affordable units.  Open spaces are provided on two deck levels, including the roof.  Construction is scheduled to be completed in late 2016.
