Vanos Architects were early leaders in the development of the Small Lot Subdivision projects now experiencing great popularity with development teams.  It is our believe that the Small Lot Ordinance, in the City of Los Angeles, is one of the most progressive planning ordinances to take effect in the recent period.  With this ordinance, the city has produced a very valuable housing alternative to the long standing multi-family condominium building type.  We produced some of the earliest built small lot projects which subsequently were used to establish market value and real estate comps for the building type.  We are well versed in the design features and constraints of the building type and have developed effective teams for their delivery.
