FIRESTONE BLVD APARTEMENTS, DOWNEY, CA.

The Firestone Project is a large multifamily project located in Downey, California.  We were asked to design a landmark project along this major corridor in the city.  Our proposal was to fully integrate landscape elements into the design of the façade, and inner courts, including living walls as screens, and planters for large trees.  Firestone Blvd is a very busy corridor in the city, as such it places a significant sound attenuation, and air quality burden on the project.  Our goal was to use living walls and landscaping to help mediate and mitigate these issues.
