CANYON VIEW DRIVE, BRENTWOOD, CA.

The Brentwood area of Los Angeles is an older developed residential area on the west side of Los Angeles.  There are few lots that haven’t been developed. Our project(s) on Canyon View are situated on a lot which is split by a stream.  The large parcel was previously split so that two homes could be reasonably developed.  The rear lot, accessed with a bridge over the creek, is currently occupied by a dilapidated older residence that hasn’t been occupied for the last 15 years.  The front lot is vacant, but is populated by a large number of trees.  The rear project, Canyon View ‘B’ is being developed with a 10,000 sf multi-level home with a large yard and swimming pool.  Because the site is sloping, the design is being developed over 3 levels.  The first level is the garage, with an adjacent basement housing recreation and entertainment rooms. The mid-level is the main living level and has direct access to the yard.  This level has Living, Kitchen, Dining, Family areas and a fully developed second master suite.  On the third developed level are 4 bedrooms and the Master Suite.  The building is being designed as a study in white and grey.  This was done in response to the significant amount of large mature trees which populate and shade the site.  These trees create a remarkably lush quality that is extremely unique and irreplaceable and are therefore being retained. Construction is scheduled to start summer of 2016.
