BARTON AVE SMALL LOT, LOS ANGELES, CA.

The Barton project is an 8 unit small lot situated on 2 lots.  Double lot projects have been successfully designed in two distinctive manners.  First with a common Driveway running up the middle from the street to the interior of the lot; this produces residences which ‘face’ the side yards.  Or, 4 units facing the street and 4 units facing the rear yard, accessed by a common driveway on the side, turning parallel to the street to create a common driveway which provides for access to all garages in a manner invisible to the street.  The Barton project is designed using the latter approach with 4 units facing the street and 4 units facing the rear yard.  Our thought is that this produces higher quality units with better views and greater levels of privacy both for our project and for the adjacent parcels. Construction is scheduled for late 2016.
